DARING COLORS

Today the sun has turned up again and I decided to show off bright colors and a very summery look!
If I lived in a city where there's the sun 365 days a year, for example in Miami, I would definitely wear always colors for my outfit, but creativity is also adapting to the temperatures at which we are "forced" and not being influenced too!
A simple look but of strong impact, colors always give an edge to the clothes that we wear, especially if you dare and if you mix together prints (or pain colors) without fear of exaggeration!
Style is never "too much", it's weird, original, brand new ... but it is part of us!
So dare always, and if you feel comfortable, you will never be wrong!

Oggi il sole si è rifatto vivo e ho deciso di sfoggiare colori sgargianti e un look molto estivo!
Se vivessi 365 giorni l'anno al sole, per esempio a Miami, prediligerei sicuramente i colori per i miei outfit ma la creatività consiste anche nell'adattarsi alle temperature a cui siamo "costretti" e non farsi condizionare troppo!
Un look semplice ma d'impatto, i colori danno sempre una marcia in più ai capi che indossiamo, soprattutto se si osa e se si mixano tra loro stampe (o tinte unite) senza paura di esagerare!
Lo stile non è mai "esagerato", è bizzarro, originale, nuovo... ma fa parte di noi!
Quindi osate sempre e, se vi sentite a vostro agio, non sbaglierete mai!

CELEBRATING LOOKS: FESTIVAL DE CANNES 2013

The Cannes Film Festival has reached this year its 66th edition and these days we have seen paraded down the red carpet actors, actresses, directors, models ... there could not miss CELEBRATING LOOKS to study the matter and bring you the most stylish and original outfits of this event!

Many the stars who chose Roberto Cavalli for the Grand Soirée: Irina Shayk, who has sported a bold all-black crop dress , Cindy Crawford in a white dress with deep sweetheart neckline and Kylie Minogue who has also opted for white. Black and dark shades for the dresses of Milla Jovovich in Armani and Cara Delevingne in Burberry, which enchants in a long black dress with sensual lace details.

Cavalli also for the look of Georgia May Jagger, who marched with a long bright red dress with swaroswki; same tones for the burlesque queen Dita Von Teese, who chose instead, like Petra Nemcova, a lace dress Elie Saab Couture. Black & white for Emma Watson in her Chanel, there's not lacking the classic elegance of Dior in Nicole Kidman and Carey Mulligan outfits, the first in a circle dress with floral embroidery, the second in an elegant powder pink long dress.

The absolute queen of La Croisette is Sharon Stone, ethereal and extremely elegant. In a midnight blue dress by Cavalli embellished by swarovoski and precious stones, the older sister has proven to have always class to sell. And not a little.

Il Festival di Cannes è giunto quest'anno alla 66esima edizione è in questi giorni abbiamo visto sfilare sul suo red carpet attori, attrici, registi, modelle...non poteva mancare CELEBRATING LOOKS ad approfondire l'argomento e riportarvi gli outfit più eleganti ed originali di questo evento!

Molte le star che hanno scelto Roberto Cavalli per la Grand Soirée: Irina Shayk che ha sfoggiato un audace total black crop dress, Cindy Crawford in abito bianco a sirena con profondo scollo a cuore e Kylie Minogue che ha optato sempre per il bianco. Nero e toni scuri per gli abiti di Milla Jovovich in Armani e Cara Delevingne in Burberry, che ammalia in un long dress nero dai sensuali dettagli in pizzo.

Sempre Cavalli anche per il look di Georgia May Jagger, che ha sfilato con un long dress rosso vivo con swaroswki ton sur ton; stesse tonalità per la regina del burlesque Dita Von Teese, che ha scelto invece, come Petra Nemcova, un abito in pizzo di Elie Saab Couture. Black & white per Emma Watson nel suo Chanel;  non manca poi l'eleganza classica di Dior negli outfit di Nicole Kidman e Carey Mulligan, la prima in un abito a ruota dai ricami floreali, la seconda in un raffinato long dress color cipria.

Regina assoluta della Croisette Sharon Stone, eterea ed elegantissima. In un abito blu notte di Cavalli impreziosito da swarovoski e pietre preziose, la sorella maggiore ha dimostrato di avere sempre classe da vendere. E non poca.

ELEN ELLIS "A CLOCKWORK BODY" STYLING PROJECT

Hello dears,
I'm sorry I have recently ignored you a little, but now I will reveal you the second Styling project presented during my course at Accademia del Lusso.

In this case, having to choose a historical period on which focus the shooting, I got inspiration by the 70s, the cultural revolution of that era and its protagonists.

In my interpretation, a muse by disarming beauty, Farrah Fawcett, and a cult movie of a genius of the camera, Stanley Kubrick, give rise to an unexpected fellowship...
The question I asked myself is only one: and if Farrah Fawcett, instead of impersonating a positive icon of the 70s, the neighbor that everyone would desired, had chosen to side with the bad guys?

I wanted to break the mold and escape from the usual stereotypes: now you will see the sunny and innocent Farrah in the role of Alex the Dude, the not-good-guy of A Clockwork Orange.

My beloved Fashionistas, I apologize for the absence of these days but I have focused on some projects of Fashion Styling that I developed during the course I follow at Accedemia Del Lusso. About "Les Salonnieres" I had already spoken HERE, while the second project is a surprise: I will reveal you soon!

In the meantime, here's another precious Fresh Trends!
This summer prints will free your creativity: abstract, floral, geometrical or photographic, all to be mixed! Fluorescent colours or monochromatic tones to combine together boldly for a daily look or for a cocktail party.
Catwalks and street style repropose stripes, flowers, ethnic and geometric patterns, houndstooth and cashmere prints.

Le passerelle e lo streetstyle ripropongono righe, fiori, pattern etnici e geometrici, pied de poule, cashmere...

CELEBRATING LOOKS: Punk Theme At Met Ball Gala

Cara Delevingne in Burberry

This year the New York Met Ball Gala was held on the occasion of the new exhibition "Punk: Chaos to Couture" of 2013 Costume Institute in the the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and like every year beautiful clothes passed under the eyes of all and obviously under mine.

The exhibition shows beautiful  mid-70s original punk clothes that contrast with the current Haute Couture and Prêt a Porter.
One hundred projects presented by international designers, from Alexander McQueen and John Galliano Karl Lagerfeld and the queen of punk for excellence Vivienne Westwood, through Martin Margiela and Helmut Lang, Franco Moschino, Gianni Versace and Viktor & Rolf.
Celebrities and models such as Cara Delevingne and Sienna Miller have chosen to follow the theme of the exhibition and have fun with eccentric and provocative clothes , full of studs and leather accessories.

Quest'anno a New York il Met Ball Gala si è svolto in occasione della nuova mostra "Punk: Chaos to Couture" del Costume Institute 2013 al Metropolitan Museum of Art, e come ogni anno bellissimi abiti sono passati sotto gli occhi di tutti e ovviamente sotto ai miei.

La mostra presenta stupendi abiti punk originali della metà degli anni '70 che si contrappongono con l'attuale haute couture e pret a porter.
Un centinaio di progetti presentati da stilisti internazionali, da Alexander McQueen e John Galliano a Karl Lagerfeld e la regina del punk per eccellenza Vivienne Westwood, passando per  Martin Margiela ed Helmut Lang,  Franco Moschino, Gianni Versace e Viktor & Rolf.
