ELEN ELLIS "A CLOCKWORK BODY" STYLING PROJECT

Hello dears,
I'm sorry I have recently ignored you a little, but now I will reveal you the second Styling project presented during my course at Accademia del Lusso.

In this case, having to choose a historical period on which focus the shooting, I got inspiration by the 70s, the cultural revolution of that era and its protagonists.

In my interpretation, a muse by disarming beauty, Farrah Fawcett, and a cult movie of a genius of the camera, Stanley Kubrick, give rise to an unexpected fellowship...
The question I asked myself is only one: and if Farrah Fawcett, instead of impersonating a positive icon of the 70s, the neighbor that everyone would desired, had chosen to side with the bad guys?

I wanted to break the mold and escape from the usual stereotypes: now you will see the sunny and innocent Farrah in the role of Alex the Dude, the not-good-guy of A Clockwork Orange.

vi ho un po' trascurato in questo periodo, ma eccovi svelato il secondo progetto di Styling presentato durante il mio corso all'Accademia del Lusso.

In questo caso, dovendo scegliere un periodo storico sul quale incentrare lo shooting, mi sono lasciata ispirare dagli anni '70, dalla rivoluzione culturale di quel periodo e dai suoi protagonisti.

Nella mia interpretazione, una musa dalla bellezza disarmante, Farrah Fawcett, ed un cult movie di un genio della cinepresa, Stanley Kubrick, danno vita ad un inaspettato sodalizio...
La domanda che mi sono posta è solo una: e se Farrah Fawcett, invece di impersonificare un'icona buona degli anni '70, la vicina di casa che tutti avrebbero desiderato, avesse scelto di stare dalla parte dei cattivi?

Ho voluto rompere gli schemi e uscire dai soliti stereotipi: ora vedrete la solare ed innocente Farrah nei panni di Alex il Drugo, il non bravo ragazzo di Arancia Meccanica.

My beloved Fashionistas, I apologize for the absence of these days but I have focused on some projects of Fashion Styling that I developed during the course I follow at Accedemia Del Lusso. About "Les Salonnieres" I had already spoken HERE, while the second project is a surprise: I will reveal you soon!

In the meantime, here's another precious Fresh Trends!
This summer prints will free your creativity: abstract, floral, geometrical or photographic, all to be mixed! Fluorescent colours or monochromatic tones to combine together boldly for a daily look or for a cocktail party.
Catwalks and street style repropose stripes, flowers, ethnic and geometric patterns, houndstooth and cashmere prints.

You you are spoilt for choice!

Mie fashioniste adorate, mi scuso per l'assenza di questi giorni ma mi sono concentrata su alcuni progetti di Fashion Styling che ho sviluppato durante il corso che sto seguendo all'Accedemia del Lusso. Quest'estate le stampe libereranno la vostra creatività: astratte o floreali, geometriche o fotografiche, tutte da mixare! Fluorescenti, monocromatiche, da abbinare con audacia per un look daily o per un cocktail party.
Le passerelle e lo streetstyle ripropongono righe, fiori, pattern etnici e geometrici, pied de poule, cashmere...

CELEBRATING LOOKS: Punk Theme At Met Ball Gala

This year the New York Met Ball Gala was held on the occasion of the new exhibition "Punk: Chaos to Couture" of 2013 Costume Institute in the the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and like every year beautiful clothes passed under the eyes of all and obviously under mine.

The exhibition shows beautiful mid-70s original punk clothes that contrast with the current Haute Couture and Prêt a Porter.
One hundred projects presented by international designers, from Alexander McQueen and John Galliano Karl Lagerfeld and the queen of punk for excellence Vivienne Westwood, through Martin Margiela and Helmut Lang, Franco Moschino, Gianni Versace and Viktor & Rolf.
Celebrities and models such as Cara Delevingne and Sienna Miller have chosen to follow the theme of the exhibition and have fun with eccentric and provocative clothes , full of studs and leather accessories.

Quest'anno a New York il Met Ball Gala si è svolto in occasione della nuova mostra "Punk: Chaos to Couture" del Costume Institute 2013 al Metropolitan Museum of Art, e come ogni anno bellissimi abiti sono passati sotto gli occhi di tutti e ovviamente sotto ai miei.

La mostra presenta stupendi abiti punk originali della metà degli anni '70 che si contrappongono con l'attuale haute couture e pret a porter.
Un centinaio di progetti presentati da stilisti internazionali, da Alexander McQueen e John Galliano a Karl Lagerfeld e la regina del punk per eccellenza Vivienne Westwood, passando per Martin Margiela ed Helmut Lang, Franco Moschino, Gianni Versace e Viktor & Rolf.
Celebrità e modelle come Cara Delevingne e Sienna Miller hanno infatti scelto di seguire il tema della mostra e sbizzarrirsi con abiti eccentrici e provocanti, ricchi di borchie e accessori in pelle.
